Demonstrative Pronouns - this, that, these and those

Demonstrative pronouns are words like 'this', 'that', 'these' and 'those'.

Russian demonstrative pronouns should agree with gender and number:

• this : этот (masc.), эта (fem.), это (neu.)

• these : эти (plural; all genders)

• that : тот (masc.) , та (fem.), то (neu.)

• those : те (plural; all genders)

The plurals are the same regardless of gender.

Examples:
	Это событие — сенсация. This event is a sensation. это (neu. singular)
	Те деревья высокие. Those trees are tall. те (plural)
	Эта новость — большой сюрприз. This news is a great surprise. эта (fem. singular)
	Эти девочки вежливые. These girls are polite. эти (plural)
	Эти ученики шумные. These pupils are noisy. эти (plural)
	Те облака белые. Those clouds are white. те (plural)
	Та машина новая и дорогая. That car is new and expensive. та (fem. singular)
	Тот дом очень высокий. That house is very tall. тот (masc. singular)
	Это яблоко зеленое, а то яблоко красное. This apple is green, and that apple is red. это (neu. singular) то (neu. singular)
	Этот мальчик веселый, а тот мальчик грустный. This boy is cheerful, and that boy is sad. этот (masc. singular) тот (masc. singular)
	Эта улица широкая, а та улица узкая. This street is broad, and that street is narrow. эта (fem. singular) та (fem. singular)
	Те дети счастливы? Are those children happy? те (plural)
	Этот дом большой? Is this house big? этот (masc. singular)
	Где те книги? Where are those books? те (plural)
