Both 와/과 다르게 and 와/과 달리 are used to remark on a difference or contrast These particles are attached to the noun of which the contrast is being remarked upon. Often the contrastive marker 은/는 is added after the 와/과 to emphasise the contrast or difference. Finally, 예상과 달리 which means 'contrary to expectations' is a very common use of this particle. |
